I actually started painting at the age of 13, in 1974. My sister and I took classes at the New Britain Art League. Classes were held in an old red barn. My frost paintings were done in oil. I remember painting a bouquet of flowers and a West Highland Whote Terrier. Starting with the undercoat of the painting seem unnatural. It wasn’t long before I switched to watercolors. That is actually the beginning of the story.
